The Soohorang (수호랑) is the mascot of the Winter Olympics in South Korea. What is a soohorang? Sooho (수호) mean protection and horang (호랑이) is a tiger in Korean. Derived from the white tiger, considered Korea’s guardian animal, it symbolizes the protection offered to the athletes, spectators and other participants of the 2018 Games. Countdown is on!
